Demand Responsive Transport

to be held at INgliston, UK,
Monday and Tuesday 26-27 November 2007

Following the success of our conference held on the 17 October, a two day workshop will be held at the same venue (Highland Hall, Ingliston, UK).

The event will allow delegates to attend interactive workshops covering eight of the most important aspects in the design of Multi Modal Demand Responsive Transport Services and Travel Dispatch Centres.   The workshops will run in parallel and will each last approximately 1 hour.  Facilitators will give short presentations on the subject matter and then open the floor to questions.  This should allow at least 40 minutes per session for discussion.
There will be a wide range of exhibitors at the event promoting DRT technologies, Accessible Vehicles, Driver Training, Funding Organisations.
The two day event will allow delegates an opportunity to further their knowledge and meet interested other delegates from UK and Europe.  A social event will be held on the Monday evening to allow delegates the chance to discuss issues at their leisure.
Whilst the conference concentrated on European best practise the workshop will mix European experiences with Scottish and UK, with organisations promoting best practise from this country.
This is an ideal opportunity for all Transport Operators (Bus, Coach, Community Transport, Taxis, Private Hire, Local Authority and Health Sectors), Transport Planners, Community Groups, Vehicle Manufacturers,Vehicle Converters, Transport Consultants, Training Organisations, Local Authorities and Health Boards to explore the potential for designing truly integrated Public Transport Services to meet the needs of the UK and Scotland in the 21st Century.
